Photo Manager
The Photo Manager allows you to upload and modify your photos.


What Does the Photo Manager Look Like to Visitors
  1. Visitors click on the "Menu" tab on the left navigation.
  2. Visitors click on the "My Pics" button [ Example ].
  3. The Photo Album folder will appear, displaying all the albums of the Family Website [ Example ].
  4. Visitors click on an album. The screen will reload and show you the photos of that album [ Example ].
  5. The photo album layout can be changed with the drop-down menu - it will display as a Filmstrip, Grid [ Example ], or Slideshow [ Example ]. The Slideshow layout is similar to the Filmstrip layout except that the system will automatically display every photo in the album after a brief interval.
  6. Visitors can download a particular photo by selecting the photo and then clicking on the "Download Photo" button.
  7. To return to the other photo albums, visitors can click on the "Return to Albums" button.

    How do I get to the Photo Manager
    1. Log in to the admin.
    2. Click on the Admin tab to the left [ Example ].
    3. Click on the "Photo Manager" button" [ Example ].
    4. The Photo Manager folder will load [ Example ]. The Photo Manager folder is divided in to two sections, albums on the left and photos on the right.

    Albums
    Albums allow you to organize your photos, much like you would organize your photographs in photograph albums.
    Create a New Album
    1. Click on the "Add" button [ Example ].
    2. A new window will pop up and ask you what name you want to give your new album [ Example ].
    3. Type in the name for your album then click on the "Okay" button.
    Delete an Album
    1. Click on the album's name and then click on the "Delete" button [ Example ].
    2. A window will ask you to confirm whether you wanted to delete the album [ Example ].
    3. If you want to continue, click on the "Okay" button.
    Sort an Album
    Clicking on the "Sort" button [ Example ] will alphabetize the list of photo albums, lowercase a to z and then uppercase A to Z.
    Edit Albums
    1. Click on the album's name and then click on the "Edit" button [ Example ].
    2. The system will then load a new window. This window will show you the current name of the album [ Example ]. Type in your new or modified name for the album here.
    3. You may also checkmark the Private checkbox, which will make the album only accessible to members.
    4. When done making changes, click on the "Okay" button.

    Photos
    When you have clicked on an album's name on the left, the system will show you all of the photos in the album on the right section.
    Upload Photos
    1. Click on the "Add Photos" button [ Example ].
    2. A new window will appear – this window shows you which photos you have selected to upload [ Example ].
    3. Click on the "Add Files" button in the new window.
    4. Another new window appears and will ask you where your photos are located [ Example ].
    5. Browse through your computer and find the location of your file(s). Once you have located your photo, click on the photo's name and then click on the "Add files" button in the lower-right corner [ Example ].
    6. When done selecting which photos you want to upload, click on the "Upload Files" button [ Example ].
    7. The system will tell you whether the upload was successful in the lower-left corner [ Example ].
    8. When you are done uploading photos, you may close this window.
    Modify Photos
    1. Click on the photo's name and then click on the "Edit Photo" button [ Example ].
    2. The Photo Manager folder will reload [ Example ]. It shows you a preview of your image as well as the current caption for your image.
    3. To assign a new caption, type in your short description of the image in the "Caption" field.
    4. If you wish to rotate the image, click on either "counter-clockwise" or "clockwise" to rotate your image to the appropriate direction.
    5. When you are done modifying the image or the image's caption, click on the "Update" button.
    Sort Photos
    1. To sort your photos around, click on one of the photos that you want to move around. Click and hold down the mouse button.
    2. Drag the mouse in front or behind another photo - that is, move the mouse to the position that you want your photo to be in. Release the mouse button.
    3. Continue the process until your photos are in the positions you want them to be.
    Delete Photos
    1. Click on the photo you want to delete and then click on the "Delete Photos" button [ Example ].
    2. The system will ask you to verify whether you want to delete the photo [ Example ].
    3. If you wish to continue, click on the "okay" button.
