Log in to your Family Website
To visit more than the public area of your website, or to view public folders that are password protected, you need to log in. There are for ways to log in:
- Member login, allowing you to view folders that are in the members only section of your site;
- View (Read) Folder login, allowing you to view the content of the component folder that is password protected;
- Edit Folder login, allowing you to edit the content of the component folder that you're viewing when you choose this type of login;
- Administrator login, allowing you to edit (and view) all aspects of the site.
Logging in as Administrator
To log in as the site Administrator, here are the steps:
Click the tab at the bottom center of the Familiy Website to expand the bottom navigation.
Click the "Login" option.
- On the login form, select "Administrator" from the dropdown menu.
- Type the administrator password in the box provided. [ Click here if you forgot your Administrator password. ]
Click the login form's "Login" button. (To exit without logging in, click the "Cancel" button.)
- To perform general administrative actions, open the Admin section by clicking the "Admin" tab.

Logging in to View (Read) a Folder
To log in to view one of the site's component folders that has been read protected, here are the steps:
- The site Administrator may password protect certain components via the Password Manager, to control who can read or write the content of the component's folder. A yellow closed padlock indicates which passwords have been set. [ Example ]
- Use the MENU or MEMBERS tabs to open the component folder that you wish to view. [ Example ]
- Type the folder's password in the box provided. [ Example ]
If the folder is write protected, you may enter that password instead of its read password. This is a shortcut to log in to edit and view the folder's content, all in one step. Or you may enter the read password now, and then log in to edit the folder once you are viewing it. If you do not know the folder's password(s), please contact your Web site Administrator.
The component's folder will expand, displaying its content. If you entered its edit password, then the folder will display options for editing its content.

Logging in to Edit a Folder
To log in to edit one of the site's component folders, here are the steps:
- Use the MENU or MEMBERS tabs to open the component folder that you wish to edit.
Click the tab at the bottom center of the Family Website to expand the bottom navigation.
Click the "Login" option.
- On the Login form, select "Edit this Folder" from the dropdown menu. (If you do not see "Edit this Folder" as an option, then only the Administrator is allowed to edit the folder.)
- Type the folder's password in the box provided. If you do not know the folder's password, please contact your Web site Administrator.
Click the Login form's "Login" button. (To exit without logging in, click the "Cancel" button.)
The folder will refresh to display the tools needed to edit the folder's content.

Logging in as a Member
To access folders located in the protected "Members" section of the site, you must log in as a member. Members cannot make any changes to the folders that they visit, or to any other part of the Family Website. Only the Administrator or someone who logs in via the "Edit this Folder" option can make changes.
Here are the steps:
Click the tab at the bottom center of the Family Website to expand the bottom navigation.
Click the "Login" option.
- On the login form, select "Member" from the dropdown menu.
- Type the member password in the box provided. If you do not know the member password, please contact the site administrator.
Click the login form's "Login" button. (To exit without logging in, click the "Cancel" button.)
The Family Website window will refresh to display the MEMBERS tab. Any folders located in the Members section will be listed. Click the component's name on the navigation to go to its folder.

Logging Out
When you have finished making changes to your website, be sure to log out. That way, your site is protected from unwanted changes. Here are the steps:
Click the tab at the bottom center of the Family Website to expand the bottom navigation.
Click the "Logout" option.
The Family Website window will refresh to display the MENU tab only. Any other tabs that had been displayed will be hidden until you log in again.

Forgot Your Password?
If you do not remember your Administrator password, here are the steps to recover it:
Click the tab at the bottom center of the Family Website to expand the bottom navigation.
Click the "Login" option.
Click the Login form's "Forgot Password" button. (To exit without requesting the password, click the "Cancel" button.)
- On the "Forgot Password" form, notice the hint question that is displayed. Type the correct hint answer in the box provided, and then click the "Submit" button. [ Example ]
Important: You must enter the hint answer exactly as the Administrator entered it into the Web site's Properties section of the Admin.
- If you answer correctly, the Administrator password will be displayed. Click the "Okay" button to close the message. [ Example ]
